ONE THING YOU LACK!

MARK 10:13-31

1. What is Jesus talking about in Matthew 6:19-21?

What is the passion of your life? To accumulate all kinds of wealth and possessions in this life or to love the Lord with all your heart and focus on the kingdom of God, allowing Him to add the things you need to your life? Because wherever your treasure is at, that is what is the passion of your life. There is no security in material treasure because it can be destroyed or stolen. And you store up your treasures in heaven by giving your life to the Lord, to allow Him to use your finances, your talents, your time, and-so-on, for His glory, for the building up of the kingdom of God.

2. In I Timothy 6:17, Paul exhorts people or encourages them to trust in who and why?

If you have money, great, use it to let it become a god to you. Don’t trust in riches, you will be disappointed. Trust in God, for He is the one that gives us all things so that we may enjoy them.

3. According to I Timothy 6:10, is money evil?

Money is not evil, it is either paper or metal and is not even living. It is the love of money that has drawn many people from a relationship with God and that is evil, the love of money.

4. What is Paul exhorting us or encouraging us to do in I Timothy 6:6-7?

When you were born how many possessions did you bring into this world? Nothing! Thus, whatever God has given to you, be happy with that. Be content, don’t covet what others have but rejoice in what God has given to you.
