JESUS’ MINISTRY TO THE GENTILES

MARK 7:24-37

1. Is it harder for God to heal terminal cancer than it is for Him to heal a headache? Please explain.

From a human perspective, of course it is harder to heal cancer than a headache. You can take an aspirin and eventually your headache will go away. But cancer won’t. But what is impossible for man, is nothing for God. Genesis 18:14 says "Is anything too hard for the Lord?" and the answer is, of course not! He is the creator of heaven and earth and He holds all things together. We need to increase our faith and believe that all things are possible with God.

2. What point is Peter making in I Peter 5:7?

You can hold onto all of your problems but the only thing that will do is give you an ulcer. You need to give them to the Lord, He loves you and He can handle them.

3. What is Job’s point in Job 23:10?

God allows us to go through various things in our life to test our faith, to stretch our faith, to strengthen us in Him. And the whole process is done to make us like gold, pure in our faith.

4. What does Hebrews 11:6 mean to you?

If you don’t have faith, you have nothing. You have to believe in something, and the only thing we need to place our trust in is the Lord. As we do, we will see our faith grow as He stretches us and it does please Him knowing we trust in Him.
