THE DESPERATE SEEK HIM!

MARK 5:21-43

1. What happens when we die according to II Corinthians 5:8? (Speaking of the saved of course).

Our spirits go to be with the Lord, that is our consciousness. Our bodies go back to the dust of the earth, they are only a temporary dwelling place for our spirits to dwell in.

2. What point is Jesus making in John 14:1-4?

The mansions that Jesus is speaking of are our new bodies that Jesus is preparing for us. That when He comes for us, during the rapture of the church, He will give to us new bodies for our spirits to dwell in. Bodies that will be eternal. These bodies are temporary, Paul likens them to tents, and the eternal ones are like mansions!

3. Read Luke 24:36-43. Why did Jesus, in His resurrected body, tell His disciples to touch Him And why did Jesus eat in front of them?

Because they thought they had seen a ghost and ghosts can’t be felt, they can’t eat. So Jesus tells them to touch Him, He is real, you could feel Him. And then He has something to eat, showing that He was not a ghost, He was living.

4. Is it God’s will that everyone is physically healed from illnesses? (See Hebrews 9:27).

No, when sin entered the world through Adam, so the death process began. And we all will die one day, God has said that. But it also doesn’t mean that God doesn’t heal people today, He most certainly does!
